Car-Ramming Attack at Gush Junction Leaves Teen Seriously Hurt

A terrorist drove a car into several pedestrians at Gush Junction. An IDF soldier shot and neutralized the attacker. Two teenage girls were injured, one seriously and one moderately, and another civilian was treated for shock.

The IDF spokesperson said Sunday evening that three people were injured after a vehicle struck pedestrians at Gush Junction, in the direction of Kiryat Arba. The incident was a car-ramming attack. The terrorist, a 30-year-old resident of Hebron, was shot and neutralized by a fighter from the Nachshon Battalion (90) of the Kfir Brigade.

MDA said that medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital a 17-year-old girl in serious condition with injuries to her limbs, and a 15-year-old girl in moderate condition with a facial injury. One additional civilian at the scene was treated for shock.

MDA paramedic Moshe Benita and senior MDA medic Chaim Sharabi said: "When we arrived at the scene of the attack, we saw major commotion and a vehicle near a bus stop. Next to the vehicle lay a 17-year-old girl who was fully conscious and suffering from severe injuries to her lower limbs. We provided initial medical treatment at the scene, including stopping the bleeding, and evacuated her by mobile intensive care unit to the hospital in serious condition. Additional MDA teams provided medical treatment to another injured girl, a 15-year-old who suffered a facial injury".

Shaare Zedek Medical Center said: "Two injured girls from the car-ramming attack in Gush Etzion were brought to the trauma unit. One injured patient in serious condition was transferred to the operating room. One injured patient in moderate condition, conscious, was transferred for continued treatment".
