According to a report in the U.S., the issue of an IDF withdrawal in one form or another will be discussed with the Lebanese side next week in talks in the United States. In the meantime, Israeli officials today called on the Lebanese army and UNIFIL to prevent Lebanese civilians from approaching areas where IDF forces are operating.
As previously reported, overnight, after the signing of the memorandum of understandings between the U.S. and Iran, there are 60 days of negotiations, and until then, according to the agreement, the IDF is supposed to withdraw from all of Lebanon. Israeli officials sent a message to the U.S. today: "The IDF will not withdraw."
