As part of the operation, soldiers from the 401st Brigade and reservists from the "Yiftach" Brigade (679) carried out searches at several locations, during which they found weapons and infrastructure used by the Hezbollah terror organization.
During operations in the al-Tiri area of southern Lebanon, soldiers from the 401st Brigade uncovered an underground shaft as well as a weapons storage site containing rockets and mortars. The IDF said the weapons that were found were intended to be used by Hezbollah operatives against IDF forces.
In a separate operation in the Marun al-Ras area, reservists from the "Yiftach" Brigade (679) found explosives, weapons, and additional combat equipment. These findings were also added to the growing list of weapons uncovered as part of the forces' ongoing activity in southern Lebanon.
The IDF Spokesperson emphasized that the activity in the area is continuing as part of the effort to remove security threats, and said: "The IDF will continue operating to remove any threat to its forces and will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel."
