The IDF announced on Sunday (today) that the reserve combat team of Brigade 551, operating under the command of Division 91, has completed its seventh round of combat and concluded its latest mission in southern Lebanon after nearly two months of operations aimed at eliminating threats to the State of Israel and to IDF forces in the area.
During the mission, the troops carried out a series of offensive operations throughout southern Lebanon, killing more than 80 Hezbollah terrorists and destroying over 200 terror infrastructure sites. Among the targets were a strategic underground tunnel route, two additional underground routes in the village of Majdal Zoun, as well as rocket launch positions, weapons depots, and Hezbollah observation posts.

Alongside the offensive operations, the forces located and seized hundreds of Hezbollah weapons, further weakening the terrorist organization's military capabilities and helping prevent it from reestablishing its presence in the region.
The IDF also released footage from the operation, including the elimination of a Hezbollah terrorist cell that was on its way to a rocket launcher, the killing of an armed terrorist identified as an immediate threat to Israeli forces, and Israeli Air Force strikes on Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Majdal Zoun area.
The military emphasized that operations in southern Lebanon will continue as needed.
"The IDF will continue to act to remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and to its forces," the military said. "It will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to rebuild its terror infrastructure or threaten the citizens of the State of Israel."
