Netanyahu to Brief Trump: "Iran Has Not Given Up on Its Nuclear Bomb Ambitions"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed in Washington overnight (between Monday and Tuesday) for his seventh visit since President Donald Trump began his term. Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with the American president this evening at 6:00 p.m. Israel time.

According to a report in the "New York Post," Netanyahu will present Trump with new intelligence on Iran’s efforts to hide enriched uranium in "Pickaxe Mountain," in order to prevent the possibility of it being struck by bunker-busting bombs.

The prime minister is also expected to argue that the Iranian regime has not abandoned its ambition of obtaining a nuclear bomb and is working to rebuild its capabilities, both in the nuclear arena and in the area of ballistic missiles.

After the meeting at the White House, the two will head to the memorial service for Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. Tomorrow, the prime minister is expected to hold additional meetings with senior American administration officials, and overnight between Wednesday and Thursday he is expected to depart for Israel.
