As previously reported, a reserve Paratroopers Brigade unit was struck last week in southern Lebanon by an explosive device planted in a building the unit had begun searching. Maj. (res.) Harel Berenstock and Master Sgt. (res.) Tamir Vaknin, of blessed memory, were killed in the incident. Four soldiers were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in serious condition.
According to a report by News 14, Dolev, a 26-year-old resident of Karmiel, was among those seriously wounded in the incident. Doctors are fighting for his life, and he is listed in serious condition, sedated and on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.
Dolev’s family, who have been at his bedside since he was evacuated, is asking the public to “tear open the heavens with prayers. Recite chapters of Tehillim and pray for his full and speedy recovery. His name for prayer is: Dolev ben Atara.”
Tehillim, Chapter 131
A Song of Ascents. From the depths I call out to You, Hashem. 2 Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to the sound of my pleas. 3 If You, God, were to keep account of sins, Lord, who could endure? 4 But forgiveness is with You, so that You may be feared. 5 I hope in Hashem; my soul hopes, and I wait for His word. 6 My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, watchmen for the morning. 7 Israel, hope in Hashem, for with Hashem there is kindness, and with Him is abundant redemption. 8 And He will redeem Israel from all its sins.
