Russian Strikes Kill 43 Across Ukraine, Officials Say
Thirty-eight people were killed in a Russian strike in the Kyiv area, two were killed in an attack on the Kharkiv region, and two more died near Sloviansk. Ukraine responded by striking a major oil refinery deep inside Russia.

Four additional people are considered missing. The major strikes took place in the Mylа area, on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital, as well as in Kyiv’s Obolon district. A large office complex in Kyiv was also reportedly hit.
Meanwhile, in overnight and morning strikes on cities across Ukraine, three people were reported killed by missile strikes in the Berestyn area of the Kharkiv region. Russian Air Force aircraft carried out an airstrike using two FAB-250 bombs against the city of Bilbasivka near Sloviansk. Two people were killed and two others were injured. Russia also attacked the Sandora juice plant in the Mykolaiv region.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its military is preparing for extensive attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Meanwhile, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces confirmed in the afternoon that strikes had been carried out on the Kirishi oil refinery in Russia’s Leningrad region and at the Yeysk air base. During the night, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 130 attack drones of various types and two Iskander-M missiles.
