IDF and Shin Bet Kill Hamas Operatives Involved in October 7 Attack

The IDF spokesperson announced today, following Yom Kippur, that the IDF and Shin Bet carried out strikes in the Gaza Strip over the weekend and killed Yahya Hamduna, an operative in Hamas’ military wing. The operative infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.

Meanwhile, Palestinians reported today that an Israeli drone struck the Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City. One person was killed at the scene.

The IDF spokesperson added that in additional strikes over the weekend, the IDF and Shin Bet killed two more Hamas operatives: Muhammad Rafai, an operative in the Daraj-Tuffah Battalion who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, and Bashir al-Barash, a Nukhba commander.

According to the IDF, "Recently, the operatives advanced terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, and worked to rebuild the terror organization’s capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire. The operatives were killed to remove the threat. Before the strikes, measures were taken to reduce the likelihood of harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance."
