A Simple Guide to Making the Most of Rabbi Nachman’s Hilula

Story Time
Today is the Hilula of Rabbi Nachman of Breslev. A huge segulah for happiness, getting out of depression and feeling down, and making your life better ?? Rabbi Nachman taught us to have no despair.
It is written in the holy Zohar and in the words of the Kabbalists that whenever there is a Hilula of any tzaddik, Heaven grants him the ability to bring about great salvations for 24 hours for the entire Jewish people, and especially for those who have some connection or association with him.
It therefore follows that the more this tzaddik was a person of kindness, mercy, and judged everyone favorably, the more, on the day of his Hilula, he is permitted to have mercy and bring down kindness and blessings even for those who are very far from the Creator.
And on this day, there is a golden opportunity for each and every one of us to bring down salvations and Heavenly mercy, even if we did made mistakes in life, which we all did, because Rabbi Nachman stands in Heaven and declares that there is absolutely no despair in the world.
And if you believe that it is possible to ruin things, then believe that it is also possible to repair them, and that there is an idea that everything can turn around for the good.

The first important thing to do is fulfill the mitzvah of “Love your fellow as yourself,” by sharing with others the light of Rabbi Nachman so they can also gain from it, especially on this holy day of his Hilula.
2. Light a Candle
This evening, after nightfall, we light a candle in the merit of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, ben Feiga. Whoever did not manage to do so in the evening can also light tomorrow anytime before sunset.
3. Tzedakah
Give a few coins to Tzedakah and say that it is in the merit of Rabbi Nachman ben Feiga.
4. Tikkun Haklali
Then recite the Tikkun Haklali revealed by Rabbi Nachman, which consists of the following ten chapters of Tehillim: 16, 32, 41, 42, 59, 77, 90, 105, 137, 150.

Rabbi Nachman’s Teachings
Whoever has faith, his life is truly life, and he spends the days of his life always in goodness. Because when things go properly for him and he has goodness, then certainly it is good for him. And even when things are not that way and he has suffering, G-d forbid, it is also good, because he is confident that nevertheless, Hashem, blessed be He, will ultimately make his end good. Since everything comes from Him, blessed be He, certainly everything is for the good.
But someone who does not have faith, G-d forbid, as soon as something bad happens to him, he has no vitality at all, because he has nothing with which to comfort himself, since he has no faith.
The choice is in a person’s hands to do as he wishes. Everything is in the hands of a Jewish person to conduct himself as he wishes, according to his free choice. Therefore, the main thing is desire: that his desire should always be strong and firm to draw closer to Him, blessed be He.
If you believe that it is possible to ruin things, believe that it is possible to repair them. And the general rule is that one is forbidden to give up on oneself. The main thing is to strengthen oneself in every way possible, because there is absolutely no despair in the world. Even if a person has fallen wherever he has fallen, he still has hope.
The highest and greatest level of all is prayer in the language that one speaks, because in this way one can explain everything he wishes to say and tell Him, blessed be He, everything that is in his heart.
Through prayer, one can attain every good thing, all levels of holiness, and all the goodness and salvations in all the worlds. And through prayer, abundance is brought down to a person, because the words and expressions of prayer are vessels for receiving that abundance.
And know that it is a great mitzvah to always be happy and to overcome sadness and melancholy, distancing them with all one’s strength.
Therefore, the main thing is faith, with complete simplicity, like the righteous women and ordinary people believe. And therefore, it is very good to cast oneself upon Hashem, blessed be He, and rely upon Him.
6. Personal Prayer
The main thing is to remember what Rabbi Nachman revealed: that the greatest level and segulah for bringing salvations is to turn to the Creator of the world in your own words. Thank Him for what He has given you, and ask and plead for everything you are lacking.
Personal Prayer
Therefore, after you have lit a candle and done everything above, sit alone, just you and your Father in Heaven, and ask Him to fulfill the desires of your heart in the merit of Rabbi Nachman.
Do not hold back with your requests. Repeat again and again: “Master of the Universe, have mercy on me. Grant me the merit to get married this year. Only You make matches. I am Your daughter; help me,” etc.
And do not hold back in your prayers. Plead again and again: “Master of the Universe, help me succeed financially, get out of debt, be happy with my portion,” etc.
Each and every person should tell Hashem, blessed be He, everything that is inside their heart.
