Three foreign nationals who filmed IDF soldiers and a security post in Hebron are expected to be deported from Israel within the next 24 hours, after being arrested and questioned by police officers from the Judea and Samaria District. During the investigation, it emerged that one of those involved is a central activist in the BDS movement — the boycott campaign against Israel — and serves as the head of a pro-Palestinian organization.

The incident took place last night (Sunday), when an IDF soldier guarding the "Hasam Shoter" post — located at the crossing between the Jewish community in Hebron and the Palestinian section of the city — noticed three foreign tourists arriving from the Palestinian side. The three began documenting the security post and the soldiers stationed there.

An initial check of their devices turned up additional photos of IDF soldiers, taken while they were manning that same post during previous shifts. Following the discovery, investigators from the Hebron station in the Judea region were called in, took a statement from the soldier, and transferred the three suspects for questioning at the police station.

Subsequently, as part of a joint effort between the police and the Population and Immigration Authority, an intelligence review revealed that one of the suspects serves as president of the organization "Agir pour la Palestine." According to the information gathered, she is a leading anti-Israel activist involved in promoting boycotts and protest actions as part of the BDS movement.

Once the investigation was completed, the investigative materials and intelligence information were transferred in order to coordinate a hearing ahead of deportation, and representatives of the relevant consulate were updated on the details of the case. The three suspects were questioned and held in custody overnight.

Today, the three were handed over to the Population and Immigration Authority, where a hearing was held, at the end of which it was decided to remove them from Israel within the next 24 hours. Until their flight, they are being held at a designated detention facility.

The Judea and Samaria District made clear that it will continue to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in order to prevent incidents of friction, incitement, and disturbances of the peace in the area.
