Bought a $20 Lottery Ticket and Won Two Million Dollars

Just 20 dollars, that is what a man “spent” on a lottery ticket he bought at a convenience store in the USA last Thursday.

The man, who chose to remain anonymous, said that after scratching the ticket and scanning it, his heart “jumped with joy” when he received a message saying his ticket had won. “The thing is, I somehow thought I had only won a thousand dollars,” he recalls.

What he did not know was that his ticket was worth much more.

He decided to finish scratching the ticket at home, convinced it had already won a thousand dollars. But a few days later, he received the surprise of a lifetime when officials from the local lottery contacted him and asked him to come to their office.

“I thought to myself, ‘Wow, what a nice prize I have won,’ and was getting ready to collect my thousand dollars. But when I got there and heard how much money my ticket had actually won, I could not breathe from shock. I thought they were pulling my leg.”

As it turned out, his ticket had won 2 million dollars. “I can breathe now,” he concluded, while refusing to disclose further details such as what he plans to do with the money or his age and place of residence.
