Beaufort Ridge

Defense Minister Israel Katz visited IDF forces in Lebanon and said Israel does not plan to withdraw from security zones there, in Syria, or in Gaza. Katz said he has instructed the IDF to prepare for a long-term presence on the ground.

IDF forces destroyed an underground Hezbollah command post in the Lebanese village of Haddatha, in the security zone. The infrastructure was discovered a short distance from a UNIFIL field site. An IDF engineering vehicle was struck by a Hezbollah explosive drone; no injuries were reported.
