The IDF published today (Sunday) a map of the forward defensive line area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon, to prevent a direct threat to communities in the north.

The IDF noted that at this time five divisions and Navy forces are operating in parallel south of the forward defensive line in southern Lebanon, to destroy Hezbollah infrastructure in the area. The Lebanese reported this evening on exchanges of fire between IDF forces and Hezbollah terrorists in several arenas. In addition, according to them, the IDF detonated houses in several villages in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesperson stated that Division 162 forces continue to deepen operational activity in southern Lebanon, in steps intended to dismantle Hezbollah's attack capabilities and prevent raids on Galilee communities.

Under the division's command, the combat teams of the Nahal Brigade, the 401st Brigade, and the 215th Fire Brigade are operating in areas beyond the forward defensive line, engaging in close-quarters battles and destroying the enemy's strategic assets.

So far, more than 250 terrorists have been eliminated in encounters and in strikes from the air and the ground. The forces have destroyed over 405 terror infrastructures, including headquarters, weapons depots, and observation posts. In addition, they located and seized more than 1,000 items of weaponry, including anti-tank missiles, explosives, and advanced military equipment.

During operations in the area, the troops raided a well-camouflaged compound and found body cameras carried by the organization's terrorists. The cameras contained recordings of the organization's activities, intended to serve as propaganda and psychological warfare materials. Seizing the cameras gives the IDF an added view of Hezbollah's methods of operation in the built-up and complex terrain.
