Ghazawi was arrested in recent weeks. Findings from his investigation showed that he had planned to carry out an attack against a Jewish community near where he lives. To that end, he studied and searched for materials on weapons use and bomb-making. He also tried to obtain weapons, including an M16 rifle.
As part of the investigation, various types of ammunition that he had hidden were seized at Ghazawi's home. The investigation also found that Ghazawi supports Hamas activity and had even aspired to carry out missions and attacks on behalf of the terror organization.
This morning, as noted, an indictment was filed against him in the Haifa District Court by Attorney Daniel Koplev of the Haifa District Attorney's Office, Criminal Division, along with a request to keep him in custody until the end of the proceedings.
