Sometimes the simplest cookies are the ones everyone reaches for first. These delicate tahini cookies are lightly sweet, wonderfully crumbly, and incredibly easy to make. With a hint of vanilla and a beautiful cinnamon flower design on top, they're perfect alongside a cup of coffee or tea and require just a handful of pantry staples.
Easy Tahini Cinnamon Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar (or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract)
2 tablespoons raw tahini
1 packet baking powder (about 1 tablespoon)
3 cups all-purpose flour
Ground cinnamon, for decoration
How to Make Them
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a large bowl, combine the oil, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, tahini, baking powder, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Pour a little cinnamon into a shallow bowl. Dip a flower-shaped cookie stamp or cutter into the cinnamon, then gently press it onto each dough ball to create a decorative cinnamon flower pattern.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden on the bottom and just beginning to color around the edges.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before serving.
Baking Tip
Be careful not to overbake these cookies. They should remain light in color and slightly delicate, giving them their signature melt-in-your-mouth texture.
