Chocolate and Caramelized Banana Matzah Rolls: An Irresistible Passover Dessert
Crispy fried matzah rolls filled with rich chocolate spread, sweet caramelized bananas, toasted coconut, and cinnamon

4 matzot 2 bananas 1 egg 3 tablespoons sugar Ground cinnamon Toasted coconut Chocolate spread Lightly moisten the matzot with water while they are still whole. Cover them with a damp towel until ready to use. Slice each banana lengthwise. Place the sugar in a skillet and heat until it melts into a caramel. Add the banana halves and caramelize them on all sides. Remove and allow them to cool. Spread a generous layer of chocolate spread over each matzah. Place half a banana on each matzah and sprinkle with toasted coconut and cinnamon. Carefully roll up each matzah around the filling. In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Dip each rolled matzah into the beaten egg, coating it evenly. Fry the rolls on all sides until golden brown. Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.Ingredients
