The IDF confirmed that over the weekend, acting on Shin Bet intelligence, it killed Taher Ahmad Salem Abd al-Wahid in Gaza. He was a member of Islamic Jihad, took part in the Nova music festival massacre on October 7, and led the cell that murdered and abducted Inbar Haiman, of blessed memory.

The IDF spokesperson said this evening (Monday) that over the weekend, the IDF carried out a strike in central Gaza, directed by the Shin Bet, and killed the terrorist Taher Ahmad Salem Abd al-Wahid of the Islamic Jihad organization. During the October 7 massacre, the terrorist invaded the Nova music festival site and led the abduction of Inbar Haiman, of blessed memory.

In another strike, also directed by the Shin Bet in central Gaza, the IDF killed another Islamic Jihad terrorist. The terrorist, Salah Subhi Salah Qatrawi, had tried to advance terror plans against IDF forces in the area of the aid distribution centers (GHF) in southern Gaza. The terrorist operated while endangering Gaza residents and cynically exploiting the humanitarian effort.

The killing of the terrorist who led Haiman’s abduction marks a painful closing of the circle. Haiman, 27, was murdered and abducted from the Nova music festival site. Her coffin was returned to Israel in October 2025 together with the coffin of Master Sgt. Muhammad al-Atrash, of blessed memory, 39, from the al-Atrash tribe. He served as a tracker in the Northern Brigade in the Gaza Strip and fell in battle on the morning of October 7.
