The terrorist, Mahmoud Fatair, served as a Nukhba commander in the Central Camps Brigades of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. He was documented taking part in numerous hostage handover ceremonies at the end of November 2023. In the photo, he is seen alongside former hostages Ofir Engel and Amit Shani.
The IDF added that, as part of the sixth phase of Operation "Sky Doors," the terrorist was documented wearing the terrorist organization's uniform and taking part in a ceremony handing over numerous hostages, including: Amit Shani, Ofir Engel, Moran Stella Yanai, Itay Regev, Liam Or Nasser, Raz Ben Ami, Phaiboon Rattanin, Gong Sai Lao, Jakapan Sikana, and Charoenchai Saengkaew.
Recently, the terrorist attempted to advance terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, and was killed to remove the threat.
After one of the terrorists who held him captive was killed, former hostage Rom Braslavski posted a message in Arabic to the remaining terrorists: "None of you will be left. Thank you to the IDF. Am Yisrael Chai."
In another strike in the Gaza Strip, the IDF killed in the Deir al-Balah area the terrorist Abdullah Adnan Taha Abu al-Tayef, a Nukhba commander in Hamas's military wing. The terrorist infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and, throughout the war, took an active part in fighting against IDF forces. In another strike yesterday in the Shati area, directed by the Shin Bet, the IDF killed the terrorist Jalal Sabih, a commander in the Daraj Tuffah Battalion of Hamas's military wing.
