North Korea to Deploy Missile Unit in Russia as Russian Strikes Kill Civilians in Ukraine

Over the weekend, Russia launched six Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 151 attack drones at cities across Ukraine. The Ukrainian government reported explosions in Kyiv and damage to buildings following the launch of eight Russian missiles.

In addition, one person was reported killed and seven injured in Russian attacks in the Donetsk region, while three people were killed in a Russian missile strike in the Brovary region. One person was also reported killed and two others wounded by artillery fire in Nikopol.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that a North Korean army force has begun deploying in Russia with more than 100 ballistic missiles. This comes in addition to approximately 15,000 North Korean soldiers stationed in Russia. The missile deployment is part of the cooperation between Russia and North Korea in the war in Ukraine.

A North Korean missile unit has begun deploying in western Russia and could be equipped with 120 ballistic missiles and six missile launchers for attacks against Ukraine, a Ukrainian military intelligence official told Reuters.
