U.S. and Israeli intelligence point to a breakdown in decision-making in Tehran as fear of eavesdropping breeds distrust, hobbles coordination, and pushes regional commanders to act on their own.

On Shabbat morning, Israel's air defenses shot down a ballistic missile fired from Yemen; by late morning, a cruise missile was also intercepted. That evening, sirens in Eilat warned of a hostile aircraft. The Iran-aligned group says it is joining the war and threatens to close the Bab el-Mandeb strait.

Shrapnel caused only minor injuries in a Tel Aviv building. Earlier in the night, interceptor debris struck a building in Nesher, causing heavy damage. Near dawn, a missile landed in open terrain outside Beersheba.

Iran launched two barrages toward wide swaths of Israel. Interceptor fragments struck two points inside the Haifa refinery complex, sparking a fire. Air-quality checks found no hazardous leak. Separately, a Yokneam resident was lightly wounded by shrapnel.
