Take a moment to slow down and invest in yourself. Your body deserves nourishment, care, and a little indulgence. And if you're going to treat yourself, why not make it delicious, refreshing, and nutritious? Better yet, prepare something the whole family can enjoy, that is free from preservatives, artificial colors, and unhealthy fats.
Ingredients
First Layer
1 cup frozen banana
1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1 cup frozen mango
2 tablespoons raw tahini
½ cup orange juice or water
½ cup coconut cream
Second Layer
1 tablespoon pitaya (dragon fruit) powder
½ cup blueberries
Healthy Toppings
Sliced fresh fruit of your choice
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Coconut flakes
2 tablespoons granola
Instructions
Place all the ingredients for the first smoothie layer into a food processor or high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Transfer half of the mixture into serving glasses, preferably clear ones. Fill each glass about one to two tablespoons with the light-colored smoothie.
For the second layer, blend the pitaya powder and blueberries until smooth, creating a beautiful vibrant color. Spoon one to two tablespoons of the colorful mixture over the first layer.
Top with your favorite fresh fruit. For this version, blueberries, pineapple, and granola were used, but feel free to customize it with any fruit you enjoy.
Serve immediately and enjoy a refreshing, energizing treat.
Tip: Freeze any leftovers in individual containers to enjoy as a healthy homemade ice cream later.
