Netanyahu: 'The Tehran Regime Is Near Its End'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning to Iran on Sunday evening, declaring that another attack against Israel would bring a harsh Israeli response. Speaking at a government toast ahead of Rosh Hashanah, Netanyahu said the regime in Tehran is weakened and that "its end is near," while making clear that Israel still has additional objectives to complete in the campaign.

Netanyahu began by addressing Israel's situation and the achievements he said it has secured on various fronts: "We are on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, and more than ever, the State of Israel is on top. Thanks to the wise and courageous decisions we made together around this table, thanks to the heroism of our fighters, thanks to the steadfastness of our people, we have achieved tremendous accomplishments. Israel is stronger than ever; our enemies are weaker than ever."

The prime minister went on to address the campaign against Iran and cooperation with the United States: "Together with the United States, we achieved tremendous accomplishments in removing an existential threat from above our heads. We pushed back nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles, and we struck the Iranian axis with great force."

According to Netanyahu, the fact that Iran is not currently attacking Israel stems from its understanding of the price it could pay: "We are determined to defend ourselves; we are determined to strike our enemies. They are not attacking us. Iran is refraining from doing so, and it knows why. Of course, it can make a mistake and make the error of attacking us. It will suffer a blow it cannot even imagine."

The prime minister added: "I say to our enemies: Don't mess with us. This people knows how to unite in moments of trial, and it is now the strongest power in the Middle East, and some say beyond it as well."

Netanyahu also addressed the activity of the IDF and security forces on various fronts: "From here, I want to salute the brave IDF soldiers and the security branches that work tirelessly. We are eliminating terrorists all the time, in Lebanon, in Gaza, and in Judea and Samaria."

As he wrapped up his remarks, Netanyahu said the regime in Iran is going through a period of significant weakness. He said the campaign has not yet been completed and that Israel is determined to achieve another goal: "The achievements are enormous, but there is more to complete. First and foremost, I mean bringing down the regime. This regime in Iran, its end is near. It is weak, it is fighting for its life, it is faltering."

He concluded: "And there is another mission to complete, which we are determined to carry out. This will permanently change the face of the Middle East and the history of our people. We know that we are determined to do it, and we are determined and know that we are capable of doing it."
