An Iranian member of parliament said on live state television that Khamenei opposed contacts with the United States and that his conditions were left out of the memorandum of understanding. Minutes after he began revealing classified documents, the program was abruptly taken off the air.

A newly revealed memorandum of understanding signed by the U.S. and Iran includes 14 clauses covering a halt to fighting, sanctions relief, and the nuclear program. The sides committed to negotiating a final agreement within 60 days.

In a wide-ranging interview with NBC, President Donald Trump addressed the stalled negotiations with Iran and said the U.S. is prepared to keep up military pressure if no agreement is reached.

An Iranian delegation led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf spent the day in Qatar. Arab media reported that Iran is willing to transfer its enriched uranium to China, but the U.S. is refusing.

Contacts between the United States and Iran are moving toward a draft agreement, but major disputes remain unresolved. In Tehran, officials insist the nuclear issue is not part of the initial understandings. A senior Israeli official said, “Trump made clear that he will stand firm in the negotiations on his consistent demand to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program.”
