The U.S. launched a broad new wave of strikes in Iran for the second night in a row. President Donald Trump said Israel was not involved in the Tomahawk missile attacks on targets across Iran. In response, Iran fired missiles at what it called "important" targets in Kuwait and Bahrain.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, President Donald Trump told his advisers that if American troops are harmed by fire from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, it could bring the ceasefire with Iran to an end.

A ballistic missile launched from Iran was intercepted near Kuwait, which condemned the attack. U.S. Central Command also confirmed that Iranian drones were launched toward a U.S. military vessel. The hostile aircraft were intercepted.

The United States carried out overnight strikes on a military site in Iran that it said posed a threat to American forces and commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Hours later, sirens sounded in Kuwait following a missile and drone attack. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said: We struck a U.S. base in response to the attacks in Iran.

Four detained and two escaped after a May 1 attempt on Bubiyan Island near Iraq and Iran; Tehran has not responded, Kuwait says.
