Northern Command

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a situational assessment with division and brigade commanders in southern Lebanon following the ceasefire announcement. He said the IDF is operating extensively in the Ali Taher and Beaufort areas.

Defense Minister ישראל כ"ץ pushed back on reports that new limits had been placed on IDF activity in Lebanon, saying the forces are continuing to operate against threats: "Protecting the lives of our soldiers and our civilians is an absolute top priority."

After Hezbollah fired toward Israeli territory, the IDF struck targets in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district. The strike was carried out on the instructions of Israel’s political leadership and was described as a direct response to the fire from Lebanese territory.

A Hezbollah explosive drone struck the vehicle of Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, head of the IDF’s Northern Command, during a visit to southern Lebanon. The incident ended without injuries. In response, movement and security procedures in the area were changed.

He stressed the ongoing military effort against Hezbollah: "We have a shared goal — protecting the residents and communities of the north and restoring calm and security over time."

During a visit in southern Lebanon, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir toured a Hezbollah tunnel beneath a children's clothing store, highlighted major blows against the group, and said the military has targets ready in Iran as coordination with the U.S. continues.
