The IDF released footage from central Gaza showing a child carrying weapons into a civilian home. The military says a terrorist used the child as a human shield in an effort to prevent the weapons transfer from being stopped.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has instructed the IDF to impose a general closure on Judea and Samaria throughout Sukkot and Chol Hamoed, restricting the entry of Palestinian workers. The IDF is bolstering forces and raising its alert level across all sectors.

Palestinian media reported that Saher Saqr, who drove the motorcycle on which Noa Argamani was kidnapped on October 7, was killed in a strike in Nuseirat. Argamani was rescued in June 2024 in Operation Arnon after eight months in captivity.

The IDF said it killed a Nukhba platoon commander and another Hamas operative in two Gaza strikes, alleging they had advanced terror plans and worked to rebuild the group’s capabilities. Earlier, it struck a Hezbollah weapons depot in southern Lebanon.

Three years later, the IDF has released its investigation into the battle at the “Paga” outpost. Eighteen soldiers were killed, 22 were wounded, and two were abducted to Gaza. The probe found that, alongside extraordinary heroism, failures in equipment, preparedness, and coordination with the Air Force enabled terrorists to capture the base and infiltrate Be’eri.

After three months operating in the forward security zone in Syria, forces from the 228th Brigade completed their mission. During the operation, operatives were detained, dozens of suspects were questioned, and terrorist infrastructure and weapons were destroyed.

INS Dragon, the Israeli Navy’s sixth submarine, is arriving in Israel after more than 12 years of construction and testing in Germany. It is now expected to undergo another two to three months of training before entering full service.

At the direction of IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, regional commands will be reinforced, the Air Force and Navy will raise their alert levels, and reserve forces will be expanded for the holiday. The security preparations include the Northern, Central, and Southern Commands.

An IDF engineering vehicle hit an explosive device planted by Hezbollah. In response, the IDF struck terror infrastructure in several areas of southern Lebanon. Lebanese army soldiers who entered the security zone were removed from the area.

The IDF said it killed two Hamas military-wing Nukhba operatives in separate strikes in northern Gaza. According to the military, one took part in the October 7 massacre and stormed the Erez Crossing.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir addressed efforts to discredit IDF soldiers and commanders following the controversy over the film 'NAZA.' He said this is both a national and international mission, and that the IDF continues to uphold its values and international law even during intense fighting.

The IDF and Shin Bet said Na'el Abu Ubeid, the Rafah Brigade commander and head of operations for Hamas's military wing, was killed in a vehicle strike in Gaza. Defense Minister Israel Katz: "No terrorist is immune, and Hamas will not be in Gaza."

Ahmed Batash, a Hamas commander, managed and coordinated weapons supplies for the northern Gaza brigade and advanced terror attacks against Israel, according to the IDF. The military said he was working to rebuild Hamas capabilities and was killed in a precise strike.

Troops from the 55th Brigade found a staging area, a shaft and launchers containing 32 rockets aimed at Israel in southern Lebanon. The IDF said the weapons were left there before the ceasefire agreement took effect.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has instructed the military advocate general to pursue possible legal action over a film accusing IDF soldiers of war crimes in Gaza. The military will also establish a team to address what Zamir called “blood libels.”

The IDF’s English-language spokesperson formally addressed the serious allegations featured in the film, which won the jury prize at the Venice Film Festival. In its response, the IDF questioned the credibility of some of the testimony criticizing IDF forces: “Anonymous testimony from individuals whose identities cannot be verified.”

Muhammad Yazouri, who commanded the Khan Younis Brigade and advanced dozens of terror plans against IDF forces, was killed in a precise strike. A company commander and another brigade operative in southern Gaza were also killed alongside him.
