A resident of Kiryat Shmona reflects on the dangers of division and the importance of preserving unity, even in the midst of war

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again made clear that the IDF has full operational freedom in southern Lebanon. Lebanese reports say IDF forces have withdrawn from several areas.

Israel’s Home Front Command said that starting Monday at 6 a.m., the entire country will be considered an area without restrictions. Hezbollah responded: "There is no ceasefire with freedom of action for Israel. The IDF must withdraw."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in the northern town of Shlomi with several mayors and regional council heads from Israel’s confrontation-line communities. He detailed the special budget package that was approved—more than 13 billion shekels—for development and protection.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a joint situational assessment with northern local council heads and the General Staff at Northern Command. He stressed the ongoing military effort against Hezbollah: "We have a shared goal — protecting the residents and communities of the north and restoring calm and security over time."

The government has approved a sweeping plan to rebuild and develop northern border communities, with an investment of about NIS 13 billion. The program includes protective measures, infrastructure, transportation, and incentives aimed at boosting population growth over the coming decade.

Starting today, residents in 161 additional communities across northern Israel will have 90 seconds instead of one minute to get to safety after an alert. The change includes Haifa, Beit She’an, the Krayot, and the Carmel region.

Censorship was lifted Sunday night as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made an unannounced visit across the border with Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, while Hezbollah kept up rocket and drone fire on northern Israel.
