Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said the group does not recognize the understandings reached between the Lebanese government and Israel. He is demanding a full IDF withdrawal from Lebanon and says his organization will continue its attacks. According to an Arab media report, the IDF has begun withdrawing from the Marj Ayoun area.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister ישראל Katz instructed the IDF to strike terror targets in Beirut’s Dahiya district. The directive came "following Hezbollah’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon."

France’s representatives to the U.N. asked the Security Council to hold an urgent discussion and compel Israel to stop the strikes. Israel’s ambassador to the U.N., Danny Danon, said, "The real discussion should be about Lebanon’s transformation into an Iranian terror stronghold."

The IDF spokesperson released initial footage from the activity of IDF forces on the Beaufort Ridge and in Wadi as-Sulouqi. At this hour, the IDF is striking Hezbollah infrastructure in the Tyre area and in additional parts of southern Lebanon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the capture of the Beaufort ridge by IDF forces and described the move as a dramatic stage in the campaign. He said Israel will continue expanding its operations in Lebanon until security is restored for residents of the north.
