Paratrooper Brigade forces located an underground tunnel route in southern Gaza containing dozens of rockets belonging to terrorist organizations. The tunnel was destroyed in coordination with engineering forces and the Yahalom unit.

Nikolay Mladenov, chair of the Gaza Peace Council, appealed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and demanded that Israel uphold its commitment to halt targeted killings and strikes in Gaza. Israel said it would not do so before Hamas is disarmed.

Arab media reported that Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives are joining Hamas in planning to lay down their weapons. The IDF struck terror targets in Gaza.

The family of Alon Shamriz, who was mistakenly shot and killed in Gaza by IDF soldiers while escaping Hamas captivity, asked that he be recognized as a fallen IDF soldier. The justices rejected the request, saying Shamriz “does not meet the formal criterion for classification.”

The IDF said it carried out a strike in central Gaza and killed Mohand Asaad Mahmoud Abu Gazal, a Hamas Nukhba cell commander. In additional strikes, the military said it destroyed terror infrastructure and weapons storage sites used by the organization.

The IDF and Shin Bet said three Hamas terrorists were killed in a strike in northern Gaza, including one who took part in the October 7 massacre and was involved in advancing terror plans in the naval arena.

According to a report by the AP news agency, the IDF has been building a large earthen barrier in recent months along the area known as the Yellow Line. The IDF confirmed its construction, according to the report.
