Master Sgt. (res.) Basel Sweid, 32, of Peki'in, was killed yesterday in an operational accident in southern Lebanon after a military fuel truck overturned. Another IDF soldier was moderately wounded in the incident.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again made clear that the IDF has full operational freedom in southern Lebanon. Lebanese reports say IDF forces have withdrawn from several areas.

Troops from Brigade 551, operating near the village of Majdal Zoun about 10 kilometers inside Lebanon, uncovered a network loaded with rockets and weapons. During the operation, more than 20 Hezbollah operatives were killed.

At the military cemetery on Mount Herzl, Staff Sgt. Nave Havshush, one of four armored corps soldiers killed in battle in southern Lebanon overnight between Thursday and Friday, was laid to rest. He is the third fallen soldier from Geva Binyamin-Adam since the war began, and the 64th from the Binyamin Regional Council since October 7, 2023.

Sgt. Nehorai Leizer was killed when an explosive drone made a direct hit on a *Namer* armored personnel carrier near Bint Jbeil, and his commander was seriously wounded. His sister, Mai, mourned him through tears: "We woke up to a morning of a new life, with a piece taken from our hearts. And we will rise from this with Hashem’s help."

The U.S. administration said talks between Israel and Lebanon ended with an agreement to extend the ceasefire by 45 days. Hezbollah responded with drones and explosive UAVs aimed at northern Israel, while the IDF carried out strikes in southern Lebanon.

Capt. Maoz Yisrael Rekanti, 24, of Itamar, a platoon commander in Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon. He is the second soldier from the battalion to fall within 24 hours, and the 20th IDF casualty since the start of the ground maneuver in Lebanon following the launch of Operation "Lion’s Roar."

The IDF is pressing its campaign in southern Lebanon and preparing for possible escalation. Newly released footage from a 401st Brigade tank shows a Hezbollah operative eliminated after he watched Israeli troops with observation gear.

Two Hezbollah operatives who entered a building near IDF forces in southern Lebanon were killed. Two Hezbollah explosive drones hit unmanned IDF engineering vehicles.

During a visit in southern Lebanon, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir toured a Hezbollah tunnel beneath a children's clothing store, highlighted major blows against the group, and said the military has targets ready in Iran as coordination with the U.S. continues.

Troops from the IDF’s 401st Brigade, under the 146th Division, located an underground route about 80 meters long with several rooms used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. After investigating and collecting evidence, engineering units demolished it; the army says the operation is part of its ongoing effort to counter threats on the northern front.

Sgt. Idan Fox, 19, from Petah Tikva, a fighter in Battalion 77 of the 'Sa'ar MeGolan' formation, was killed by an explosive UAV in fighting in southern Lebanon. An officer and three soldiers were seriously wounded, one was moderately wounded, and another was lightly wounded.

Bianco, a firetruck driver with the Barak (188th) Armored Brigade, was killed when an IDF vehicle overturned; one reservist was moderately wounded and two others were lightly hurt.

Troops from the Maglan and Egoz units in southern Lebanon eliminated armed terrorists who planned to target IDF forces with explosive drones, and destroyed a launcher that was loaded and ready to fire at Israel.

Capt. Noam Madmoni, Staff Sgt. Ben Cohen, Staff Sgt. Maksim Antis, and another soldier whose name has not yet been cleared for publication were killed in a battle in southern Lebanon. In the same incident, three more soldiers were wounded—one seriously and two moderately.

The IDF says intense air and ground operations are ongoing in southern Lebanon. Over the last 24 hours, more than 20 Hezbollah terrorists were killed, military infrastructure was destroyed, and a cache of weapons was located and confiscated.
